The Center of Studies on Tourism in Oceania and the Pacific (CETOP), the Governance and Insular Development research center (GDI, EA 4240) and the University of French Polynesia (UPF) are proud to host an international conference from June 1st-3rd 2021 in Tahiti at the University of French Polynesia. The conference will address the "New challenges for tourism in a post-COVID world".
This academic conference is planned during “tourism week” at UPF which will also feature an AIMTD (International Association of Sustainable Tourism Management) workshop, and PECC conference. The aim of this multi-disciplinary conference is to present new research in tourism post-COVID, notably to understand the consequences of the pandemic and the economic crisis for the tourism industry in the short and long term.
Conference postponed to 2022
The recent evolution of the sanitary crisis particularly affecting inbound travel to French Polynesia we can no longer guarantee that the conference would take place in good conditions in 2021.
That is why we have decided to postpone the conference to 2022.
We apologize for those of you who had made arrangements to reach our shores and will keep you informed of the new dates and modalities of the 2022 edition.
